These are actual numbers for one of our clients. In an effort to
explain how web site marketing is necessary, we ran reports for
their site prior to any marketing. As you can see, the traffic
was flat, virtually no movement, and not one visit from a search
engine query.
 When
our client contacted us about how to better their site, and
mentioned they had paid another firm to market their site
with no real improvement, we were ready for the challenge. We
suggested revamping the site with a more professional look, and
implementing basic marketing information into their primary
pages. On March 1, 2003 we sent their site to the search engines
for the first time. There was an immediate improvement in
March's numbers, and as you can see a marked improvement for the
following months.
